Comprehensive Services

Communications

At Core Dialysis, we prioritize secure, timely, and precise communication to ensure top-notch acute dialysis service. Our standard operating hours are from 5:00am to 5:00pm every Monday to Saturday, including holidays when needed. Additionally, we offer round-the-clock coverage and services through our on-call staff. By utilizing superior communication methods, we aim to minimize uncertainty for hospital staff and physicians.

At Core Dialysis, we understand the importance of effective communication. That's why we offer several channels for you to reach us, including direct phone access/paging, HIPAA compliant chat, and web-based communication. Our commitment to a multi-channel approach ensures that your messages are promptly and appropriately addressed. Additionally, we have backup staff in place for all on-call nurses to ensure that you never experience any delays in communication.

Core Dialysis helps to minimize frustrations among nurses, staff, and physicians when discussing any matters related to dialysis.

On-Going Support

You can easily reach out to Core Dialysis managers and medical directors through the communication methods mentioned above for any dialysis-related issues. They conduct regular on-site audits and comprehensive quality reviews. In case of urgent meetings on medical incidents, quality control, or accreditation preparation, the Core Dialysis management team is always available to assist.

Equipment

Services will be provided via Gambro Phoenix X36 dialysis machines and Fresenius K and T machines. Core Dialysis will ensure a certified Biomedical Technician provides regular preventive maintenance as well as emergency repairs. The technician will obtain cultures from the machine and the water systems on a monthly basis as mandated in the standards established by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).

Quality Assurance

At Core Dialysis, we strive for continuous quality improvement by using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. This helps us address regulatory compliance issues and clinical areas that need improvement. We base our practices on evidence and share our findings with the team to incorporate them into our company policies. Moreover, we follow the Root Cause Analysis methodology as needed.

Our interdisciplinary team continuously evaluates key areas including water quality, medication errors, fluid removal, site access, treatment delays, and equipment maintenance throughout the year. We are pleased to announce that Core Dialysis is currently implementing a comprehensive quality improvement plan across all existing locations.

Policies & Procedures

At Core Dialysis, we specialize in creating, tailoring, and executing dialysis policies and treatment protocols. Our services include developing comprehensive policies for dialysis treatment, water treatment systems, human resources, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA/HITECH regulations to protect patient privacy.

Staff Education

At Core Dialysis, we have implemented an online staff education system to ensure that our staff is equipped with the latest and most accurate patient care guidelines. We make it a point to monitor and track staff engagement and participation in education sessions.

Core Dialysis administers competency exams for all staff including nurses, biomedical technicians, and patient care technicians. Furthermore, an annual skills checklist is completed for all staff members.
